4. Tournament Rules
4.1 Users can participate in iWhot tournaments by
paying the specified entry fee.
4.2 Entry fees are non-refundable, except in cases
where iWhot cancels the tournament.
4.3 Tournaments start at the designated date and
time.
4.4 The tournament structure consists of multiple
rounds with the following rules:
- The first round comprises groups of four
players.
- The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions from each
group qualify for the next round.
- In the next round, qualified players are
randomly regrouped into tables of four.
- If the remaining player count is not
divisible by four, the remaining spots are filled by the
best-performing losers from the previous round, ranked by their
performance.
4.5 The tournament progresses through various
stages until the semi-final stage.
- The semi-final stage consists of groups of
five players each.
- Only the 1st and 2nd positions from each
semi-final group proceed to the final.
4.6 The final stage is a single group of five
players, with the fifth player being the best 3rd place from the
semi-final stage.
4.7 The app determines the "guaranteed winning zone" as the stage where a maximum of 100 players remain in the
tournament. Reaching this stage signifies that a player has won a
prize.
4.8 Cash prizes for tournament winners are paid
into the user's iWhot wallet immediately upon winning.
5. Corner Betting
OPTING IN/OUT: At the beginning of each game,
players are given the choice to participate in corner betting or
not. If all other players opt-out of corner betting, the game starts
immediately without this feature. If up to 2 players opt-in for
corner betting, they will proceed to the corner betting screen to
place their bets.
PLACING BETS: To place a corner bet, a player
selects the opponent they want to bet against from the top of their
screen. Players can send, receive, and modify incoming offers from
other players. Bets can be placed on multiple players and cards.
Bets are placed on any or all of a player's initial 4 cards during
shuffling/dealing. Only accepted bets are considered valid. Pending
or rejected bets are refunded to the sender.
WINNING BETS: Upon game start, players who placed
corner bets can view the results of each bet. Each betting player
can see their own cards and those of their betting opponents for
transparency. The player with the lower card number wins the
specific bet. Bets are refunded in the event of a tie.
6. Gameplay Rules
DEALING CARDS: Each player receives 4 cards at the
beginning of the game. Each player takes their turn to play, with
each turn lasting 10 seconds.
PLAYING: Players must match either the symbol or
the number on the deck to play. If unable to match a symbol/number,
a player must draw a card from the stockpile (Market).
SPECIAL CARDS: The numbers 1, 2, and 8 have special
effects:
-
Number 1 (Hold On): Skips all other players' turns, returning the
turn to the player who played the number 1.
-
Number 2 (Pick 2): Forces the next player to draw 2 cards from the
Market.
- Number 8 (Suspension): Skips the turn of the next player.
GAME END & WINNING: The game ends when a player
empties their hand or the stockpile (Market) is exhausted. Players'
card counts are tallied, ranking players by the lowest count. The
player with the lowest count wins. In case of a tie, the system
draws 1 card each for the tied players. The player with the lowest
card number wins the tie.
AUTO-PILOT: If a player is offline or exceeds the
10-second limit, the auto-pilot plays on their behalf. The
auto-pilot randomly plays any of the user's valid cards or draws 1 card from the
Market if none are available. Auto-pilot disengages upon the
player's return, resuming manual play.
Note: Auto-pilot is to ease the effects of a user's poor network
connectivity. Auto-pilot lacks strategic
gameplay and will play RANDOM cards. It should not be relied upon for competitive play.
